Care & Maintenance
Just as washing your car is important for removing dirt and grime , your Security Doors & Windows need to be given a regular wash to keep it in great shape. The effects of ultra violet light, atmospheric pollution, general dirt, grime and salt deposits can all accumulate over time, and for this reason it is a condition of this warranty that accumulated deposits must be removed at regular intervals. As a general rule, cleaning must take place every 3 to 6 months. However, in areas where pollution is more prevalent, such as beach front houses, and/or areas within/or neighbouring industrial zones, a cleaning program must be carried out in accordance the Panther Protect maintenance schedule contained within this warranty card.
To Clean Your Panther Protect Doors & Windows
- Carefully remove any loose deposits with a wet sponge. Dry dusting will create micro scratching.
- Using a soft brush (non abrasive) or cloth, and Panther Wash in warm water, clean the doors and windows to remove dust, salt and other deposits. Pay particular attention to areas that would not normally be exposed to natural rain water.
- Always rinse after cleaning with fresh water to remove any remaining Panther Wash. In areas where town water contains high mineral content, remove remaining moisture with a chamois.
Warning: Detergents other than Panther Wash must be avoided as many of these detergents are harsh and contain harmful chemicals, therefore making them unsuitable for cleaning your Panther Protect doors and windows. Although some strong solvents are recommended for removing sealants or other building residues, these may be harmful to the extended life of the doors and windows and should also be avoided as the damage may not be visible immediately and may take up to twelve months to appear. If paint, sealants or other residue need to be removed from a Panther Protect door or window, please contact your local dealer and we will endeavour to find a solution. The use of any other detergent or cleaning agent apart from Panther Wash will immediately void any warranty applied to the Panther Protect window or door.
